Your questions answered

Here are answers to some of our frequently answered questions. Please also read our Terms and Conditions. We have tried to be as clear as possible, if you have any questions or require clarification of a point please contact us.

What is provided in the holiday apartment or holiday house?

All bed linen, towels and beach towels are provided in all the accommodation. There may also on occasion be a small courtesy supply of toilet rolls, tea, coffee and sugar.

Are the prices per apartment or per person?

The apartment price is usually regardless of the number of people staying. A supplement may be charged for larger groups, for linen and service provision.

In the case of rental based on per person, you will be advised at the enquiry stage of your booking.

What deposits must I pay?

A non-refundable deposit of 20% is due within 7 days of confirming your booking to secure your booking. Deposits must be paid in sterling into a UK bank.

Some apartments require a cash security deposit to be paid, these are payable on arrival and refundable in full on departure if the apartment's content and structure is left as it was found on arrival. These deposits are advised at the time of booking and paid in cash on arrival. They may be paid in your home currency to prevent the need to convert back on your return home.

When do I pay the balance?

The balance for your holiday is due 8 weeks before arrival. Payment should be paid into a UK bank account.

What currency can I pay in?

Payments should usually be made in advance in sterling. On occasion you may be asked to pay on arrival. Payment on arrival must be in euro cash. In these cases please ensure you have sufficient cash before arrival, as there are only a small number of cash points and there are restricted daily withdrawal limits.

What extra charges are there?

There is an end of stay cleaning charge of £30 per apartment, (payable in advance) Apartments are cleaned for your arrival.

If you would like a mid-stay clean and linen change this is available. Please ask when booking.

There isn't an extra charge for general electric, gas and water.

Where air-conditioning, central heating, electrical heaters or fans are available, a supplement may be charged. These charges are advised at the time of booking and are paid in advance.

How do I get the keys?

You will be met at the apartment by a Magic Orange representative. They will give you the keys and show you around the apartment, explaining the functioning of any applicances and hints and tips to help make your stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible.

If you haven't taken a Magic Orange airport transfer, we ask that you call to notify us as board the bus or get into the hire car or taxi. The Magic Orange representative will then be waiting to meet you at your holiday accommodation.

What time can we arrive and depart?

We ask for full flight details at the time of booking and wherever possible allow immediate check in and the use of the apartment until 2 hours prior to your departure. Where this isn't possible, we try to provide a courtesy room until check in is possible or until your departure.

Who do I contact if something doesn't work in the apartment during my holiday?

Whilst all accommodation is well maintained, things can go wrong. Please call your representative, their number is in the holiday pack in the apartment. They will then attempt to resolve the problem.

What do I do in an emergency?

If you have an emergency situation whilst on holiday please call your Magic Orange representative..

If you lock yourself out please note there is a 50 euro call out charge as well as any locksmith call out and service charges, any charges levied by the police or fire service charges and the purchase cost of any new keys or locks.

If you lose any keys you will also be charged for the replacements.

Please ensure your travel insurance covers these costs.

Can I bring my bicycle?

Sporting equipment can usually be accommodated by prior arrangement. It is important to check at the time of booking. Some accommodation may not have suitable storage space.

What happens if I have to cancel my holiday?

Occasionally circumstances force a cancellation. Please notify us immediately by phone, email or fax and ensure that you receive a personal confirmation of receipt. The deposit is non-refundable any further charges are detailed in the terms and conditions.

If Magic Orange have to cancel your booking?

In very exceptional circumstances, accommodation must be withdrawn. We will notify you as soon as possible. We will offer a full refund if we are unable to agree a suitable alternative to suit your needs.

What if I am unhappy with my accommodation when I arrive?

We are happy to answer any questions you may have about your holiday and will advise if special requests are possible, throughout the booking and reservation period. In the accommodation details,we provide honest descriptions and photographs of each acommodation to prevent surprises on arrival. If, on arrival, you have reasonable doubts and concerns we will try and sort them out straight away. The cancellation policy will apply if you decide not to take the apartment or holiday house for reasons we think are unreasonable.
